Jamie Murphy joined Pontypridd midway through the 2022/23 season and made an immediate impact with the club scoring a try after 57 seconds on his debut as the team won away at Aberavon in January 2023.
Jamie is equally proficient at playing outside-half or centre having joined the Club from Bridgend having made nearly 200 appearances for the Ravens. During his career he’s also played for Aberavon, Newport and the Ospreys regional side. Jamie has also earned international honours with Wales U20’s and then later in his career with the German National side, winning 11 caps.
Murphy has also played Rugby League – he played two games in Super League for Celtic Crusaders and trained with the Wales National side whilst operating in the other code.
Away from rugby he runs his own business in the Security Industry.
