Home Start – a buzz about Sardis

Ponty supporters are urged to get on down to Sardis Road to give their team the best possible backing in the first home start of the season. Carmarthen Quins are the visitors on Saturday 21st September, the game kicking off at 5:15pm, screened live on S4C.

A good show of support in front of the TV cameras would provide a huge boost to the Ponty team in their quest for an important victory and send the “Ole Ole!” echoing around the nation.

The club bars will be open from 1pm with live sports on the various TV screens and food and drink on sale.

The Club Shop will be open before and after the game, taking pre-orders or selling the brand new Ponty kit, which has proved popular following its launch and is set to sell out quickly.

There will be plenty going on in the Clubhouse after the game, offering supporters a great opportunity to stop on and enjoy food, drink and good company into the night.

The focal point of the post-match events will be the auctioning of the unique yellow charity shirts worn by the Pontypridd team during the first month of the campaign. All funds raised will go to the two nominated charities, Mind Cymru and the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.

Members of the Ponty squad will be on hand to help with the auction and to take part in an informal Q&A session with the audience.

Admission to the Pontypridd v Carmarthen Quins match is charged at £12 (£10 concessions seniors and students) accessing all parts of the ground. Under 16s are allowed in free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Those attending the match using their cars are advised that car parking pass bearers only can be allowed into the ground, and will need to arrive at least a hour and a half before kick-off. The Council Car Park adjacent to the stadium will be open, at a charge of £1.

There will be a buzz around Sardis Road for the first match of the new season, and a warm welcome extended to all who attend.
