The Pontypridd RFC Mini & Junior sections are standing by to assist the club’s senior squad with their pre-season training.
It is hoped that the newly redeveloped Taff Vale Park, home of the Minis & Juniors, can be made available for senior pre-season training whilst the Sardis Road playing surface is being re-seeded.
In conjunction with “GrEW” Taff Vale Park is currently being restored to its former glory by an on-going maintenance programme. As a temporary measure it is hoped that the Ponty seniors will be able to use Taff Vale Park for summer training until Sardis is back to it's best.
Dean Gregory, Mow & Grow Team Leader GrEW, originally from Kent but now settled in the area said - "our GrEW team get a real buzz from helping the local community and to know that the Ponty team will train on a pitch that we have helped prepare is an even bigger buzz."
Dean is pictured on his new mowing machine, with the pitches at
Taff Vale Park as a luxuriant backdrop. The GrEW team are now
looking forward to tackling the next problem at the ground ... the
dreaded Japanese Knotweed!!
