Pat Palmer and Huw Dowden, Ponty tight head prop and hooker respectively, will guest on the GTFM Radio Show and enter into conversation with resident host Alun Jones.

Lynn Howells' rugby CV is a hugely impressive one, as a former Pontypridd RFC flanker, assistant and head coach, coach to Cardiff RFC and the Celtic Warriors and forwards coach to the Wales senior team. Most recently Lynn has also coached Edinburgh and Doncaster Knights.

“Crunna” played over 130 games for Ponty between 1987 and 1992, and won five caps for Wales in the early nineties. Still a frequent visitor to the club, Paul had a special charity match against a Jason Leonard International XV staged at Sardis Road back in 2003, to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis society.

As both Paul and programme presenter Alun Jones suffer from MS, the illness will no doubt be getting some profile on the Rugby Show this week, along with the usual rugby chat – local and international

Adam joined up with Ponty from his local club Ynysybwl at the beginning of the previous season, and made a big impression as a strong running three-quarter with a big left boot, making his mark during his first year in the Premier division.

This Friday, 19^th September, host Alun Jones will be joined by Blues development officer, and Glamorgan Wanderers coach Richard Hodges. Having previously worked with the Wales Rugby League and Womens’ Rugby teams, Richard has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with the show’s listeners.

Former Llanelli centre Davies won 29 caps for his country between 1989 and 1996, and then progressed to be assistant coach with Llanelli before taking on a similar role with Wales in 2006.

Nigel Davies is currently Head of Rugby Development with the WRU, with the nurturing of players to professional status from the Principality Premiership as part of his role. He was involved in the recent review of the structure of Welsh Rugby.

No doubt there will be many interesting points to be discussed as Nigel Davies takes the hot seat on the GTFM Rugby Show. The programme will  be hosted by resident presenter Alun Jones, and will be broadcast between 6:30pm and 7pm on Friday evening 2^nd May, on the 107.9FM wavelength.  

The wizard of the wing, scorer of memorable tries in crucial games, Gareth Wyatt was a huge favourite with the Ponty faithful before he moved on to the Celtic Warriors, and to his current team, the Gwent Dragons. There will no doubt be a few memories relieved, but also a focus on the here and now of Welsh rugby as Gareth joins resident Rugby Show host Alun Jones for a chat. The GTFM Rugby Show will go on air between 6:30 and 7pm on Friday evening 7^th March, on the 107.9 FM wavelength.

Work is going ahead, a joint effort between the staff at GTFM and representatives of Pontypridd RFC, to salvage the master disc of the Rugby Show interview with WRU Chief Executive Roger Lewis, which should have been broadcast last week. Hopefully the full interview can be put out on air at a later date. A transcript of the interview is also being prepared, with the intention of being published on-line and in a later edition of the Pontypridd RFC match programme.
