Mini & Junior results - 22/03/09

On Sunday 22^nd March the Pontypridd Mini & Juniors played a round of matches against Bridgend Sports and Bridgend Athletic, with the under 12s engaging in the Blues Cup quarter final tie against Ystrad Rhondda. 

Under 7’s:  Pontypridd 5 – 6 Bridgend Athletic  

Ponty were caught cold from the start and went two tries down in as many minutes and trailed 4-2 at half time. Despite this the boys rallied again in the second half to bring the scores back to 5 tries each only to see the visitors snatch victory with a late try. Credit to both sides team for an entertaining game of rugby.

Pontypridd played host to Bridgend Athletic at Taff Vale Park.  Bridgend scored several early tries which proved too much for Pontypridd.  Captain for the day was Morgan Salisbury.
