Great North Run
Great North Run

Pontypridd RFC Team Manager Richard Langmead will be going on the run in September – on the Great North Run that is, and all for a worthy cause.

Langers will take part in the Newcastle half marathon on Sunday 19th September and will be raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Any donations forthcoming from Pontypridd supporters would be most welcome.

The Great North Run is the biggest half marathon event in the world and will provide a stiff challenge for Langers as he battles against the course and battles to raise as much money as possible for his designated charity.

Donations can be made direct by logging on to Langers’ fund raising website:

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Our groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has saved millions of lives.

Survival rates have doubled in the last thirty years and we have been at the heart of that progress. But one in three of us will still get cancer at some point and our vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people will survive.
