Pontypridd supporters are relishing the chance to once more venture ‘overseas’ to follow their team, as the British & Irish Cup pool draw has given the club an away tie against Ulster. The travel plans for the December expedition to Ireland are already at an advanced stage.
As ever a large contingent of Ponty fans is expected to make the trip to Belfast to cheer their team on against Ulster A. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday 10th December 2011.
The Pontypridd RFC Supporters’ Club have a tour itinerary in place, and bookings are now being taken for a two night stay in Belfast.
The Irish trip will depart Pontypridd at 11pm on Thursday evening 8th December, with a coach transfer to link up with the overnight ferry crossing from Fishguard to Rosslare. The coach will resume its journey across Ireland, due to arrive at Belfast at 10:30am on Friday morning.
Two nights have been booked at a four star hotel in the city with coach transfer to the Ravenhill ground to watch Ponty take on Ulster A on Saturday afternoon.
The return journey will commence at 2:30pm on Sunday 11th December, taking the 9pm ferry from Rosslare to Fishguard and expected back at Sardis Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Supporters’ Club will also be organising travel to the away British & Irish Cup game at Nottingham on Saturday 12th November. There will be optional arrangements with one trip staying overnight and one ‘day trip’ returning after the game. More details to follow.
