Will Keep signs on the dotted line for Pontypridd

Pontypridd RFC are very pleased to announce the signing of Will Keep from Penallta RFC. The 23-year-old centre has completed his move to Sardis Road ready for the 2023/24 season.

The Penallta product helped The Pitmen win the National Plate at the end of the 2021-22 season when rugby resumed after the Covid-pandemic. A player of undoubted talent, midway through last season he joined then champions Cardiff RFC where he played 8 matches before going back to Penallta to help his hometown club secure promotion to Welsh Championship.

Will has also played for The Crawshays representative side on many occasions including playing for them at the recent Hong Kong 10’s Tournament.

On joining Ponty, Will said: “I’m really happy to join this historic club, the club mirrors my own club Penallta with its values and ethos. I can’t wait to get stuck in for hopefully a successful season.”

On securing Will’s services ahead of the upcoming campaign, Ponty Coach Geraint Lewis said: “Will has been an impressive performer in our pre-season training and has fitted in well to the squad. We feel as a coaching group, that Will has the ability to make a real impression at Premiership level. He combines a good rugby skill set with strong physical qualities and adds to the ability, depth and competition in an area which we feel we have strengthened with Will and other additions to complement our already established back line members.”

Croeso, Will!
