Pontypridd v Ebbw Vale – Matchday Preview

This Saturday 30th December Pontypridd welcome Ebbw Vale to Sardis Road, the Indigo Group Premiership clash kicks off at 2:30pm.

The two clubs met at Ebbw Vale earlier in the season on Saturday 9th September and despite a strong first half showing from Ponty which saw them 18-13 up at the interval, The Steelmen showed their steel in the second forty to eventually run out winners by 38 points to 21.

Ebbw’s last visit to Sardis Road was just over a year ago, on Saturday 10th December 2022 and despite falling behind in the match, Ponty rallied through Rob Jones’ brace of tries and a touchdown from Aled Ward to put themselves into the lead. However, The Steelmen kicked a 79th minute penalty to deny the home side and they headed back to Blaenau Gwent with a 23-22 win.
