Ponty RFC Mini & Junior Day – This Saturday 2nd April

Mini & Junior Day

This Saturday 2nd April it’s the inaugural Ponty RFC ‘Mini and Junior Day.’ Whilst the senior side prepare and then take on Llanelli in their Premiership clash, the Mini and Junior section have lots of activities planned throughout the day. They will undertake a lap of honour prior to kick-off, this will include players from all age groups from the Ponty Pandas U5’s and U6’s all the way through to the U16’s.

All the age groups have embraced the Rainbow NHS kit and this will be evident as they’ll all be wearing their Rainbow shirts on the day to show their ongoing support for both the NHS and the senior team. The U8s’s will play a demonstration match against another local side at half-time of the Ponty v Llanelli match and a tunnel will be provided to welcome the players of both sides onto the field.

“The Mini & Junior Days are key in the vision of the section to produce a new generation of Pontypridd RFC players and supporters. This will be the first of many events held jointly with the senior club as we continue build a strong working partnership.”

Also, as many of you know the Mini & Junior Section also have an ongoing fundraising campaign for the NHS. If you haven’t donated they’d really like you to show your appreciation to our NHS heroes by donating to this worthy cause here – NHS Fundraiser (Children’s Outpatients RGH) – a Community crowdfunding project in Pontypridd by Pontypridd RFC Mini & Junior Rugby (crowdfunder.co.uk)
