Second-row Mitch Barnard played all his Mini & Junior rugby for his local club Mountain Ash RFC before finally breaking into their senior side.
Whilst progressing through the ranks at Mountain Ash, Mitch also played age-grade rugby for Cardiff Blues U16’s and U18’s, won international honours playing Wales U19’s against Japan and also played for Coleg y Cymoedd whilst studying there.
Mitch then linked up with Pontypridd RFC after impressing on trial in the summer of 2022. He made his debut for the club in October 2022 when he came off the bench against Aberavon at Sardis Road.
Mitch is linked to Pontypridd RFC on permit from Mountain Ash RFC.
