New Year injury update

Pontypridd go into the New Year with mixed news on the injury front, some players returning from long term absence but others undergoing surgery.

The latest player to go under the knife is centre Gary Williams (pictured above) with a need to rectify a long standing ankle problem. He joins flanker Rhys Shellard on the sick list, who has undergone surgery on a detached chest to shoulder muscle.

Centre Alex Knott is still sidelined, awaiting the results of the latest scans following concussion. Also out for the next two weeks is scrum half Tom Rowlands with an ankle sprain.

On a more positive note, prop Ben Stephens, hooker Nathan Huish and lock Sean Moore have recovered from recent minor injuries whilst centre Ioan Evans and lock Chris Dicomidis are back in training full tilt having completed their recuperation from shoulder operations.
