Jeremy Pugh came down from Builth to play for Ponty in 1983 as a strong scrummaging tight head prop.
His stay at the club lasted for two seasons before he moved on to become a member of the formidable Neath pack of the 1980s, winning three senior caps for Wales.
Pugh’s rugby career turned full circle as he then returned to play for, and coach, his local team Builth Wells.
