Alen Candy (Known as Alan) represented his local club Nelson before joining up with Pontypridd at youth level.
Stepping up to the senior squad in 1973 Alen soon made his mark as a potent attacker on the wing, going on to make 58 appearances with an impressive tally of 22 tries scored during a five year spell.
Alen made the move back to Nelson RFC in 1978.
