Wales u 18 take on England at Sardis Road

Pontypridd RFC will host an under 18 international between Wales and England on Sunday 25th March. The match will kick off at 4:15pm screened live on S4C.

Wales under 18s, coached by former Ponty favourite Geraint Lewis, are contesting the Six Nations tournament and got off to a good start on 11th March by edging a 30pts to 32 away win against Scotland.

England will be next up on the 3G pitch at Sardis Road. The remainder of the tournament will be played over Easter, from the 31st March to 8th April, at the Ystrad Mynach stadium and the Arms Park.

Looking ahead to the big games to come, coach Geraint Lewis said: “It’s fantastic that we’re able to host this festival in Wales. It’s a great opportunity to showcase an age grade which boasts some superb talent full of flair and a fearless approach to the way they play.

“This will make it a real spectacle for supporters. As a coach of Wales U18 and Wales U20, I’ve been lucky enough to witness first-hand the players coming through this pathway, and the success they’ve achieved at regional and international level. This tournament will undoubtedly feature the stars of the future, which is very exciting.”

Entry to the Wales v England under 18 international on 25th March will be charged at £5 with tickets available on the gate.
