USW aim for final flourish against Cardiff

University of South Wales will round off their BUCS South campaign with a tough assignment away to league leaders Cardiff University on Wednesday 21st February, the match at Llanrumney kicking off at 5pm.

USW currently lie third in the table but their final fixture is a game in hand over second placed Hartpury College and a win would see them leapfrog into a creditable second placed finish.

In their last home league game of the campaign on the previous Wednesday USW registered an emphatic 46pts to 24 victory over University of West England, running in eight tries in the process (pictured above).

With a record of nine wins from thirteen games played USW will be going all out for another victory against Cardiff University to finish the league season on a high and improve their seeding for the ensuing cup competition. In the return fixture against Cardiff back in October, USW lost narrowly at Sardis Road by 19pts to 21.
