Pontypridd FPA link up with Bridgend

The Pontypridd Former Players’ Association are maintaining close links with their Bridgend counterparts over the coming season.

Bridgend host Pontypridd in a Premiership match on Saturday 29th September and an invitation goes out for all former Ponty players to attend a pre and post match get-together, from 12:30pm in the Brewery Field clubhouse.

It is forty seasons on since Bridgend and Pontypridd faced each other in the Welsh Cup Final, with the Ravens victorious by 18pts to 12.

The FPA Annual Luncheon, to be held on Saturday 1st June 2019, will commemorate that event with former Bridgend and Wales centre Steve Fenwick as guest speaker, and fronting a Question and Answer session with Tom David of Pontypridd, both of whom played in that 1979 Cup Final.

Former players, friends and guests are asked to make a note of these upcoming events – all will be welcome to attend.
