Hailing from the Blaina Gwent area, and having represented Ebbw Vale at junior and senior level, Dan Godfrey joined up with Pontypridd in 2003 and soon established himself as a key back row performer.
Following moves to Llanelli and Cardiff, Dan returned to Pontypridd in 2011 and went on to make 270 appearances for the club, often as captain or vice-captain.
Towards the end of the 2016-17 season, Dan’s playing career was brought to an end by a recurring neck injury, but the opportunity arising for him to step immediately into the Team Manager position at Sardis Road.
