End Of Season Awards / Cap Presentation Night 2024/25

On Saturday evening 24th May the Pontypridd RFC annual player awards ceremony took place in the Clubhouse at Sardis Road. It was a great evening, compered by Stuart Rix…

The Stuart Williams Supporters’ Forward of the Year was won by Joe Miles for the third year in a row – unfortunately Joe was away so could not collect his award in person.

There was an award double for winger Joe Davies. Firstly, Joe picked up the Joe Smith Back of the Year, and secondly the Supporters’ Player of the Year.

The Coaches’ Player of the Year was awarded to second-row Mitch Barnard, whilst the Players’ Player of the Year, voted for by the players was presented to Stuart Floyd-Ellis.

And finally, the Alun Jones Clubman of the Year was awarded to Stuart Williams.

Massive congratulations to all the award winners and a huge thank you to the sponsors of the various awards as well – Ann Jones, High Motive, Rhondda Motor Company, Coors Brewery, Kip McGrath, EnGage Education and The Family Of Joe Smith – your generosity is very much appreciated by the Club.

The End of Season recognition awards was only one half of the evening, there were also cap presentations for players achieving individual appearance milestones – Kristian Parker, Morgan Bosanko, Ben Stephens and Rob Jones made their 100th appearances at different times throughout last season, whilst Dale Stuckey was recognised as a double-centurion of Ponty appearances. Unfortunately Ben was another player who was away so unable to collect his cap in person.

Well done to all the award winners, cap recipients and another big thank you to everyone who contributed to putting on a fantastic evening.
