A great season for the Pontypridd RFC Youth section came to a thrilling climax on Saturday 10th May, with the Youth (seniors) clinching the title of league champions and promotion to Division One of the national youth leagues. A week earlier the Ponty Youth (juniors) had claimed the mantle of champions in their own league.

On Saturday 10^th May Pontypridd Youth (seniors) hosted Glamorgan Wanderers in a "winner takes all" fixture in division two of the Youth League. With Ponty on 31 points and the Wanderers on 30 this game would determine both the league championship and promotion  for both sides.

Pontypridd Youth (juniors) recorded an emphatic away win over Tonyrefail last weekend, and duly secured their status as league champions.

On Saturday 3d May Pontypridd Youth (seniors) travelled to Glamorgan Wanderers for a rearranged league fixture. With both sides vying for top spot and promotion it was going to be a vital game, but with Ponty rocked by injury and player withdrawals.

On Saturday 26^th April Pontypridd Youth (seniors) played Ystrad Rhondda in division two of the National Leagues with both sides still able to secure promotion to division one. The game was a home fixture for Ystrad, but with their senior squad at home playing a vital game for promotion, Ystrad graciously agreed to play the fixture at Sardis to enable the game to proceed.

On Saturday 5^th April Pontypridd Youth (seniors) entertained fellow promotion challengers Pentyrch in a key league fixture for both sides.

On Saturday 22nd March, the Senior Youth team travelled to Treorchy for a crucial game in the race for promotion to National League One of the Welsh Youth league.
