Ponty Youth battle it out against Crumlin

Following a lengthy period of inactivity due to the recent bad weather, Pontypridd Youth made a return to action with a home game against Crumlin Youth on Saturday 8th January.

Both sides felt the after effects of their enforced lay-off as the game was mostly a scrappy affair although eagerly contested.

Ponty Youth had their opportunities to take the initiative but found themselves up against an uncompromising Crumlin defence whilst also suffering from their own indiscipline and handling errors.

The final result was a close call, but Crumlin emerging as victors by 8pts to 13. Ponty’s solitary try was scored by Josh ‘Ted’ Edwards, with a penalty kicked by Josh Waughington.
