There will be a BBC film crew in attendance at Sardis Road on Sunday morning 11th September, watching the Ponty faithful as they in turn watch Wales kicking off their World Cup campaign.
Wales take on the might of South Africa at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington in their first pool game of the World Cup 2011. The game will kick off at 9:30am GMT, and Pontypridd RFC will open its doors bright and early for supporters to watch all the action on the big screen.
Refreshments, bacon rolls, tea and coffee rather than the traditional foaming pints of Whoosh or HB will be the order of the day as fans get into the routine of AM starts to the New Zealand World Cup campaign. The Clubhouse Bar at Sardis will be open from 8:30am.
Amongst those in attendance will be a film crew from BBC Wales Today who will capture the atmosphere and conduct ‘vox pop’ interviews with the fans as the game progresses.
Pontypridd RFC bar manager Mark Davies would welcome some feedback from supporters as to the numbers who will turn up on Sunday morning. Get in touch with Mark by e-mailing: or calling: 07971 774965
