Pontypridd winger Owen Williams has been selected for the Wales Sevens senior squad and flies out to Australia this week for the first leg of the IRB World Series.
Wales will face Tonga in the first pool game on Friday 25th November, with Scotland and England also in the same group.
Following the opening weekend in Australia the series then moves on to Dubai and South Africa.

The WRU has this season introduced central contracts for its senior Sevens squad, with Ponty players Adam Thomas and Calum Thomas on the list.
The introduction of core contracts means players are committed to sevens as their chosen rugby avenue. Those associated with a region or club will be available for selection firstly for any upcoming sevens tournament, illustrating the major commitment to Wales Sevens rugby.
The core contracted players are: Alex Cuthbert (Blues), Richie Pugh (Scarlets), Adam Thomas (Pontypridd), Rhodri Gomer Davies (Scarlets), Lee Williams (Scarlets), Rhys Jones (Scarlets), Nicky Griffiths (Jersey), Alex Walker (Cardiff), Callum Thomas (Pontypridd), Warren Davies (Swansea), Ifan Evans (Newport), Rhys Shellard (Cardiff).
