Biography:

Progressing through the ranks of his local club Ynysybwl RFC, Jake Thomas gained representative honours with Wales at youth level, also called up to the Blues regional age grade squads.

Jake was given a placement with Cardiff RFC from the Blues Academy in 2007, spending three seasons with the capital club and in the meantime gaining further international honours with Wales under 20s.

Plying his trade as a hard tackling and mobile back rower, Jake was given the welcome opportunity during the summer of 2010 to join up with his elder brother Adam at Pontypridd RFC.

Jake Thomas is employed as a learning coach at Aberdare Comprehensive School.
