Biography:

Adam Rhys Victor Thomas came to the attention of the Ponty coaching team when playing for Ynysybwl at Sardis Road in the Silver Ball final of 2005, having represented his home village club at youth and then senior level.

A strong running centre or full back, Adam's reputation was enhanced with representative call ups to the Celtic Warriors under 18 and then the Blues under 20s squads. A student of sports coaching at UWIC, Adam was drafted into the Pontypridd RFC senior squad at the commencement of the 2007 - 2008 campaign.

A spell spent playing rugby in New Zealand during the summer of 2009, making the grade as a Development Squad player with NPC side Southland, further enhanced Adam's growing reputation.

During the 2010 - 2011 season Adam gained international recognition, drafted into the senior Wales Sevens squad.

Adam is employed as a learning coach at Ysgol Gartholwg.
