At long last I've got some time to myself to sit down and
pen a blog. I know it's been a while, but it's also been a

At long last I've got some time to myself to sit down and
pen a blog. I know it's been a while, but it's also been a
while since we last played!!

When I was writing my last blog, I was sure we could continue
with our winning ways and leapfrog Swansea to pole position in the
league.

Where are we in the league? We’re in second place having played
seven games, five of those away…

Here we are again, into another new season, and Guto has been pestering me
to continue with my captain’s blogs… I’m honoured to do so!

With the fixtures coming thick and fast, I hadn’t realised that
seven games have gone by since my last blog!!

Firstly, may I apologise for the distinct lack of captain’s
blogs over the past few weeks! I know some of you “terrace talkers”

time to put pen to paper has been hard!

the famous old ground.

win.

After the washout of the Newport game, we ended up gathering for
a training session with conditioning coach Mark “Curly” Powell.
There were plenty of volunteers to do some mopping up around the
ground instead, but a gruelling fitness session it was to be!

I wrote my last blog after the away trip to Mounts Bay, and
since then we’ve played against Beddau and Rotherham – two tough
games.

Following the hundred plus points win over Dinas Powys, where
all our newcomers showed up really well, we were looking forward to
the away trip to Penzance. We’d see then what we could do against a
tougher standard of opposition, knowing that Mounts Bay would give
us a challenge.

Coming soon to this website will be a fascinating feature
entitled “The Captain’s Blog” (a deliberate pun on the Star Trek
