The Clubhouse Bar at Sardis Road now bears the name of one of Pontypridd RFC’s main partners – “The Amber Bar” – sponsored by Amber Electrical & Mechanical Contractors.

The Amber Bar was a busy place on Saturday 13th September, a popular watering hole for celebrating Ponty supporters as their team took on - and beat - reigning Principality Premiership champions Neath.

Aptly, the match sponsors for the Neath encounter were Amber Electrical & Mechanical Contractors, with company directors Ryan Powell and Paul Jones and their guests enjoying the day, and a pint or two in the bar bearing their company name.

Gareth Howells, sponsorship and marketing executive for Pontypridd RFC said: "We as a club are delighted to have Amber Electrical & Mechanical Contractors as one of our main partners. They are a local company who employ local people, and we hope they will be with us as sponsors for years to come. They have certainly made a brand impact since coming on board with Pontypridd last season.

"The club are grateful for the match sponsorship of the Neath game, when thirty plus staff and clients watched a great win for our club, and following which our captain Nathan Strong presented a signed match ball to both Ryan and Paul, in gratitude for their input to the day".
