SWALEC Cup round up - 28/01/12

There were some notable giant killing acts, and some close fought encounters as the Premiership clubs made their seasonal bow in the SWALEC Cup on Saturday 28^th January.

Pride of place surely went to Division One East side Bargoed who claimed a historic away victory at Aberavon by 15pts to 17. Another Gwent based Division One side, Ebbw Vale also took a Premiership scalp as they claimed an away win over Newport by 13pts to 26.

There were narrow wins for Pontypridd away at Llandovery, Carmarthen Quins at home to Bridgend and Cross Keys at home to Bedwas as Premiership clubs battled it out with one another to progress.
