SWALEC Cup Final - not a lot of people know that...

Ten slightly obscure facts that every dedicated Ponty fan should know before setting off for the SWALEC Cup Final on Monday:

1.Doors open at the Millennium Stadium at 12noon with the big game kicking off at 5pm

2.The final tie between Pontypridd and Cross Keys will be screened live on S4C

3.The big match referee is Mr Sean Brickell

4.Allocation of changing rooms at the national stadium was decided on a toss of a coin

5.Cross Keys won the toss and elected to use the home changing room, with Ponty taking the away changing room

6.Pontypridd will play in white, Cross Keys will play in black

7.Pontypridd match mascots for the day are Dewi and Dylan Godfrey, sons of no8 Dan Godfrey

8.The decision to keep the roof open or shut at the stadium is one for the ground staff, only with a view to protect the playing surface

9.This will be Cross Keys’ first ever Welsh Cup Final and first visit to the national stadium

10.Pontypridd have over the years contested eight Welsh Cup Finals – winning four and losing four.
