Sponsors meet players

The “Player Sponsorship” package with Pontypridd RFC has proved to be hugely popular over the past couple of seasons, and this year again all squad members have been fully sponsored.

In recognition of the backing given to the scheme by supporters, families and local businesses, a “Meet the Players” evening was convened at the Amber Bar at Sardis Road on Tuesday 6^th October.

Sponsors and players got together in an informal atmosphere following the squad’s training session, with a buffet laid on.

Event organiser Theresa Davies was delighted that sponsors could meet up with their heroes in such a way.

“Our supporters have once again this year shown great commitment in taking up our Player Sponsorship scheme, and the least that we can do is to get everybody together to meet up in this way.

“The Ponty players are a great bunch of boys and are keen to offer their thanks to the fans and business people who have given them this backing”.
