A big crowd for a big occasion at Sardis
A big crowd for a big occasion at Sardis

After eight months of toil, trial and tribulation, Pontypridd’s aspirations for league success will come down to one last engagement at Sardis Road on Wednesday evening 25th April.

Llandovery will be the opponents, a top finish in the Premiership and home advantage in the Grand Play-Off final will be the prize. A packed and a passionate House of Pain will be the backdrop as the 2011 – 2012 league campaign reaches a dramatic climax.

The Ponty squad have certainly pulled out all the stops, often against all odds, to reach a position where their destiny is in their own hands come the last league fixture of the season. Contesting the issue with one of the form teams of the season Llandovery, themselves battling for a Play-Off semi final place, will be one more massive challenge to undertake.

A strong turn out of support on the night will provide the Pontypridd team with a huge lift as they face up to this must win game – a league fixture which is in effect a cup final in its own rights.

The call goes out to the loyal Ponty fan base – on Wednesday evening do what you do best. Come on down to Sardis, be proud, be passionate. Bring a friend or a family member to share the experience.

One last collective effort between players and supporters can bring a huge dividend, and a fitting climax to a long and hard fought league campaign. Its all to play for on the night...
