Scrum half Gareth James joins up with Ponty

Pontypridd have bolstered their selection options by signing up experienced scrum half Gareth James for the 2012 – 2013 campaign.

The twenty-nine year old Crynant product made his breakthrough into senior rugby with Neath, before moving on to represent Llandovery in the Premiership from 2009 to 2011. Gareth had a spell with Ebbw Vale during the season just ended, helping the club to clinch the Division One East championship title.

Standing at 5ft 11in and weighing in at 14st 7lbs, Gareth James will be a valuable addition to the Pontypridd squad as a physical combatant in the scrum half position.
