Richard Parks is launching a special 737 Challenge Day to help boost his fundraising in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Richard is asking the public to join him in doing 7 wacky things on the 3rd of July to help him raise further funds in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
“The 737 Challenge Day should be great fun and it’s really easy for everyone to get involved” stated Richard. “It’s simple, all you have to do is do 7 things on the 3rd of the 7th – hence why we’ve named it the 737 Challenge Day. Whether it’s challenging yourself to run 7 miles, your workmates to make 7 sales, or getting a team of 7 people to do something in your workplace or school, the wackier the challenge the better”.
You don't have to nip to the South Pole to fundraise, you can do it at home or at work!
“We already have people who are doing some fantastic things to fundraise. Windsor Tennis Club in Penarth are running a 737 Tennis tournament of 7 rounds of tennis on the 3rd July and we want lots of people to set themselves similar challenges or hold events”.
You might want to also challenge yourself to take on ‘The 737’ - a special circuit which has been created by Ospreys Strength and Conditioning coach and formerWalesfull back Kevin Morgan, which you can do in the gym, or in the garden.
This is just one of the physical challenges you can set yourself on the 737 Challenge Day, Richard will be posting his 737 video and time up over the following weeks and is calling on everyone to tweet your video and time doing ‘The 737’.
'The 737'
7 rounds of:
7 squats
3 Burpees
7 Sit up
7 Press ups
3 Box or bench jumps
7 Lunges
Post your time on Twitter @737challenge
Richard added; “It’s been an absolutely epic year of fundraising, I haven’t stopped since I completed my 737 Challenge last July and the 737 Challenge Day will be one of the last big pushes to support Marie Curie Cancer Care. It’s a pretty cool concept and pretty simple – anybody can do 7 wacky things on the 3rd of July, have some fun and help me raise funds in aid of an awesome charity in Marie Curie Cancer Care”.
“Last year some guys even took part in a bush tucker trial eating some pretty crazy things to help me fundraise, so I am looking forward to seeing all the wacky things people get up to on the 737 Challenge Day”.
Over the coming weeks the 737 Challenge team will be posting your stories on Twitter and Facebook and giving you lots of ideas on what you could do on the 737 Challenge day.
