Premiership round up - 28/04/12

The final league fixture of the 2011 – 2012 season was an epic encounter between Pontypridd and Llandovery at Sardis Road – a fitting finale to a keenly contested Premiership campaign.

After eight long months of competition, with plenty of thrills and spills along the way, the battle to secure pole position in the table came down to the last eighty minutes of action.

The season’s climax did not disappoint, an intense encounter between two form teams, but Pontypridd claiming the honours as 20pts to 0 victors over Llandovery.

The result saw Ponty leapfrog Aberavon and Llanelli to finish as Premiership leaders, and claim home advantage in the Grand Play-Off Final on Friday 18th May.
