Premiership round up - 16/03/12

There were tries aplenty in the Premiership fixture list of Friday evening 16th March, with twenty-seven touchdowns in the five matches played.

Ironically the only team not to cross the whitewash was the one which held on to pole position in the table. Neath came out on top in a close fought encounter against second placed Cross Keys, reversing an interval deficit to win by 15pts to 10.

The other low scoring game was the West Wales derby between Llandovery and Llanelli, with the Drovers taking the verdict by 16pts to 5 to climb back to second position.

Aberavon ran in seven tries as they recorded a big home win by 53pts to 34 over bottom team Tonmawr, but their opponents also registering a try bonus point with four scored.

Swansea in turn scored six tries as they saw off the challenge of Pontypool by 43pts to 11, and Pontypridd ran in five tries during their emphatic home win over Bridgend by 41pts to 16.
