'West was best' – well almost so - in a fragmented Premiership fixture programme played on the weekend of 3d March.
Carmarthen Quins consolidated their status as title challengers by securing a fine home win over Aberavon by 20 pts to 13 whilst Llanelli ran in seven tries as they demolished bottom club Tonmawr at Parc y Scarlets by 49pts to 21.
The only Dyfed club not to make an impact was Llandovery who conceded a home defeat to Cross Keys by 10pts to 15 leaving them second placed in the table.
Pontypool enjoyed an emphatic bonus point home win over Cardiff by 32pts to 13.
Swansea were on SWALEC Cup duty, playing an overdue third round tie away to Beddau and just scraping through with a 20pts to 22 win.
Pontypridd meanwhile suffered from another weekend without a competitive fixture, dropping to seventh position with a growing quota of games in hand.
On Sunday afternoon Neath went down to defeat at lowly Newport by 23pts to 20, the losing bonus point just helping them maintain top spot in the table.
