Poole, John
Born in Gelli Rhondda, John represented Wales Youth, Glamorgan County and Wales B. He played for Neath, appearing in their famous Welsh Cup victory over Llanelli in 1971.
Having joined Pontypridd, John became a mainstay for the club at centre,scoring 52 tries, 32 conversions, 19 penalties and 1 drop goal in his career with the club.
John was employed as a welding engineer.
