Pontypridd under 9s

Pontypridd under 9 squad have had a busy, but yet successful start to the new season; winning every fixture since the beginning, returning to Sardis Road with the winners Cup from the Treorchy tournament, and a triumphant tour of Hampshire (between 1^st - 4^th October) culminating in the convincing win over last years Hampshire champions - Havant - who had previously remained unbeaten for nearly four years.

One of the coaches for the under nines, Mike Clift, said, ".. we were greeted warmly by all the clubs and overall it was a fantastic weekend, but the icing on the cake was when the boys beat Havant by nine tries to nil, with just about every member of the team scoring a try. It was great team effort by the boys, and an experience I don't think Havant were expecting!"

The under 9s would also like to say a big thank you to all of their sponsors, without whose backing it would have been a financially awkward start to the season - as is the case for many teams today.
