LATE tries by replacement Luke McCabe and veteran Dai Smith salvaged a draw for a Pontypool side who looked dead and buried with 10 minutes left on the clock.
Pontypridd veteran Neil Boobyer looked to have won the match for the visitors with a try after five minutes and another effort from an intercept in the second half, but Pooler dug deep to earn their first League points for more than a month.
Trailing by 14, the tries needed to be converted and replacement goal-kicker Stuart Lawrence made no mistake, making up for his pass that was intercepted by Boobyer.
Pooler coach Steve Jones, who must have been wondering where his side's next win was coming from after a horror run, said, "We deserved the draw, and probably would have deserved the win.
"We put ourselves under a lot of pressure in the second half and it cost us."
Pontypridd fly-half Lee Thomas continues to impress and kicked 10 points, while Celtic Warriors player Matthew Nuthall looked assured at full-back.
The draw keeps the Valley Commandos' noses in front of former Warriors' partners Bridgend in fifth place, but they now trail leaders Newport by 17 points.
For their part, Pooler grabbed a point after losing five straight, and will be encouraged by their late comeback.
