Ponty Youth away to Penarth in league opener

Pontypridd Youth commence their Blues Premiership campaign on Saturday 1st September with an away tie against Penarth Youth, the game kicking off at 1pm.

A new look Ponty squad, with a number of players graduating from the previous season’s under 16’s ranks, will be going all out to defend their title as National Youth Champions.

The WRU Youth leagues have undergone a re-structure over the summer, with Pontypridd now contesting the twelve club Blues Premiership. Ponty Youth go into the league campaign with just one pre-season friendly behind them, in which they secured a home win over Newport HSOB on Saturday 18th August.

The clubs competing the premier youth division will be: Abercynon; Aberdare; Cardiff Met; Cardiff University; Cowbridge; Merthyr; Mountain Ash; Pontypridd; Rumney; Penarth; St Peters; Treorchy.
