The gloomy winter afternoons at Sardis Road will be lit up this coming season after the installation of a new electronic scoreboard at the ground. The new facility will be fully functional in time for the first home league game on 8th September.
Compromising of a digital clock and scores log, the new board will make it far easier for supporters in all sections of the stadium to keep up with the progress of every game.
The scoreboard is one aspect of the general upkeep of the ground and clubhouse facilities that has been carried out over the summer months. A new floor in the main club reception area and new hot water provision in the changing rooms have also been installed.
The playing surface at Sardis Road has also been receiving much ‘tlc’ during the short close season, having been re-seeded and fertilised.
