Pontypridd RFC continued its campaign to reach out to local schools with a visit to near neighbours Ysgol Evan James on Thursday 2nd February.

“Ponty School Days / Dyddiau Ysgol” is being run in conjunction with the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council “Love Ponty” initiative.

The club’s media officer Guto Davies and players Adam and Jake Thomas called in to Ysgol Evan James, taking with them the SWALEC Cup and a rugby ball signed by the entire Ponty squad.

The school’s rugby squad - who will feature as mascots at the Pontypridd v Carmarthen league game on Saturday - enjoyed a question and answer and an autograph session with the players.

Pictured with the kids from Evan James are players Adam and Jake Thomas, ‘The Face of Ponty Rugby’ Emily Frowen who works as a teachers’ assistant at the school, and Mr Brian Greaves from the RCT “Love Ponty” initiative.

Pontypridd RFC would like to thank teachers Mrs Emma Smith and Mr Paul Spanswick along with the children for the warm and enthusiastic welcome given by the school.
