The highly popular S4C feature programme “Bro” which has been traveling the length and breadth of Wales this summer, has called into Pontypridd, paying a special visit to the town’s rugby club.
"Bro" is a programme that highlights a wide variety of areas in Wales, getting to know the places and meeting the people at the heart of each community. Presenters Iolo Williams and Shan Cothi have been out and about all summer long, enjoying the warm welcome at the various locations visited.
The programme featuring Pontypridd will be broadcast on Tuesday evening 14th September at 8:25pm.
Shan Cothi and the film crew recently spent an evening at Sardis Road filming the Ponty squad going through their training schedule and chatting to the club’s media officer Guto Davies and young scrum half Rhys Downes.
Other items in the programme’s varied menu include a talk with local historian Dean Powell, focusing on the life of Dr William Price; a chat with musician and Pontypridd supporter Alun Reynolds from the band “Hey!Tonight”; a feature on Ponty girl and Radio Cymru DJ Magi Dodds; a visit to the Cwrt y Celyn Farm bike and activity centre; a cameo of the “Take Part” dance group based in the Muni Arts Centre; a ‘day in the life’ of the local crew at the Pontypridd Fire Station.
Don’t forget to tune in to S4C next Tuesday evening to watch the profile of Pontypridd town and the feature on Ponty RFC.
