The Pontypridd Mini & Juniors kicked off their new season with a series of games played against Rhiwbina on Sunday 3rd September.


Under 7/8's: Rhiwbina 20 - 30 Pontypridd

This was an excellent start to the season for the boys with some new faces playing for the first time. The boys played well with some good passing, the team playing with confidence that resulted in a good win.

 

Tries scored by: Christopher Temple (2), Dafydd Lloyd, Jay Jones, Keillan Mahony and Rhys Morris.

 

Team on the day: Jay Jones (capt), Christopher Temple, Dafydd Lloyd, Iwan Cavill, Jack Layton, Keillan Mahoney, Brad Perry, Rhys Morris, Owen Lloyd and Dylan Nelson.


Under 8's: Rhiwbina 15 - 40 Pontypridd

Another excellent start to the new season for this young side, with some good tagging and passing by all the boys that demonstrated good team work, resulting in an emphatic away win for Pontypridd.

Under 11's: Rhiwbina 28 - 33 Pontypridd


In an extended game that was agreed to by both coaches before kick off Ponty secured an opening day win.

The try scorers were Dillon Lewis (2) Kodi Baker, Morgan Rees and Josh Phillips.

The joint men of the match were debutants Jason Rees and Kodi Baker.
