Pontypridd won the 2006 Konica Minolta Cup by beating competition favourites Neath at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. In a nail-biting finale, Dai Flanagan kicked a superb drop-goal in the 6th minute of injury time, and thus won the match and the trophy for a deserving Pontypridd team.
