Rhydyfelin born, Ben Stephens played for his local youth team and went on to represent Coleg y Cymoedd whilst studying there.
Stepping up to senior level, Ben moved on to Championship club Beddau, establishing himself in the loose-head prop position. A call up to the Pontypridd squad followed in the summer of 2019.
Ben earns his living as a farmer.
