Owen, Gavin
Gavin Owen joined Pontypridd from his local team, Ystrad Rhondda, offering a solid physical presence at blindside flanker.
He later went on to play for Treorchy and Rhondda Valley neighbours, Penygraig.
Gavin was employed as a railway engineering operative, and as a security guard, accompanying the Wales football team on their trip to Russia in Euro 2004 in that capacity.
