Open training session with Llantwit Fardre – 4th August

The Pontypridd squad will engage in an open training session at Sardis Road on Saturday 4th August, with neighbouring club Llantwit Fardre also taking part.

Following the players’ warm-up, activities on the pitch will get underway at 2pm with a conditioning session followed by a skills – attack and defence- drill. From 2:30pm the forwards will be tested in line-outs and scrums with the backs also facing up in contested scenarios.

At 3pm a series of three ‘game scenario’ sessions will get underway refereed by Gwyn Morris.

The open training session will be a significant step ahead in the Pontypridd squad’s preparations for the coming season. Neighbouring club Llantwit Fardre will be welcome visitors to Sardis Road, with their participation underlining the strong links between Pontypridd and other clubs in the locality.

Supporters are invited to attend the training session, with no charge for admission to the ground. The Clubhouse Bars at Sardis Road will be open from 1:15pm onwards.
