Llandovery 17:33 Pontypridd
Going to the Drovers is never a 'gimme' game and tonight proved as much. With an early try from Chris Clayton and all the rugby being played by an enthusiastic Ponty side it looked good. BUt 2 tries against the run of play saw Llandovery go in at half time 14-11 up. Three unanswered tries in the second half (2 by prop Ryan Harford) gave Ponty the win they deserved, the bonus point and the satisfaction of sitting on top of the league at the end of the season.

A lovely Spring day saw 6 tries for Ponty and their excellent defence limited Swansea to only one. A bonus point in the last regular league home match of the season was really welcome especially as Neath could only manage 3 tries in their game. Still top of the league!!

Merthyr 30 : 38 Ponty
Merthyr came to the party early and pushed Ponty all the way. A nail biting finish saw Ponty take the win but Merthyr the accolades.

After 3 points for the visitors early on it became one way traffic, as Ponty went over 6 times during the match for a full 5 pointer of a game.

A tense Welsh derby cup tie - but for the British & Irish Cup. As you would expect it came down to the wire after missed kicks and chances should have seen Ponty safe early into the second half. BUT a win is a win at this point - Semi Finals here we come!!!
PS - no photo of the last penalty of the match - I had all fingers crossed and couldn't press the camera button!

A flurry of points from both sides in the first few minutes was an indicator of what was to come.
Ponty's four second half tries (two in two minutes at the start of the half!) to Neath's two sealed the game which was worthy of a final in itself.

Fisticuffs at the first scrum showed that a competitive match was in store. Athletic scored the first try and Ponty responded with 3 of their own. A scrappy match but Ponty win through to the next round.
