O'Shea for Ponty

The first name on the Ponty team sheet for Saturday’s cup tie away at Merthyr was Rick O’Shea… well on the team bus at least!

Welsh Rugby’s ‘man of the people’ will be travelling on the Pontypridd RFC team coach up the valley to Merthyr, accompanied by a ScrumV film crew, to catch all the pre-match atmosphere on camera.

The SWALEC Cup quarter final tie will be a big occasion for host club Merthyr RFC and will be a big day on the calendar of Valleys’ Rugby.

The BBC cameras will be in attendance to cover the game, with highlights of the action, and O’Shea’s subjective take on the derby cup clash broadcast on “Scrum V” on Sunday evening.
